The end product of all of the team’s work will be a lightweight climber unit equipped with high-efficiency solar panels and electric motors. Building on what the team learned last year, this year’s climber will be lighter, faster, and more efficient.

Come of the primary design improvements include carbon-fiber construction, more efficient solar panels and motors as well as improved climber controls and onboard telemetry. The climber will be powered by an array of high-intensity spotlights that will provide more than enough power to capture the prize.
